BOW DOWN: Happy Birthday, Queen Bey!

Beyoncé is a Goddess. She's flawless, no pun intended. Nobody is on her level and she knows that. But like a true queen, she reminds us that we are queens too. She is queen of many things, including self-love.

For years, Beyoncé has created music that makes women feel good. She empowers and instills confidence in women through her songs and videos. I can always come to Bey when I need a confidence boost. I still listen to Lemonade, like it's new. That album will always be held near and dear to my heart.

From feminists' anthems like, Flawless, Diva, and Girls. To reminding us that nobody is irreplaceable. Or telling us the many ways to upgrade a man. Time and time again, Beyoncé has blessed us with self-empowering lyrics. She shows us that it is okay to express your confidence and let the world know that you're a boss. In my opinion, this is when she is at her best. I love cocky Beyoncé!

In honor of the Queen's birthday, I have picked out some of her most empowering and self-loving lyrics.

Happy Birthday, Queen Bey!

I’m gone keep running cause a winner don’t quit on themselves.
— Freedom
She gon’ slay. She too smart to crave material things. She grinds from Monday to Friday. Work from Friday to Sunday.
— 6 Inch
Never had the baddest woman in the game up in your sheets.
— Hold up
What’s worse, looking jealous or crazy, jealous or crazy? Or like being walked all over lately, walked all over lately. I’d rather be crazy.
— Hold up
It ain’t no need to cry. I took a vow that from now on I’m gonna be my own best friend.
— Me, Myself, and I
Cause you ain’t never seen a fire like the one I’m gon’ cause
— Ring The Alarm
I’m killing you with them legs, better yet them thighs. Matter of fact, it’s my smile. Or maybe my eyes. Boy you a sight to see. Kinda something like me.
— Ego
I’m a diva, best believe her. You see how she gettin’ paid? She ain’t calling him to greet her, don’t need him. Her bed’s made.
— Diva
I can do for you what Martin did for the people. Ran by the men, but the women keep the tempo.
— Upgrade U
I could have another you by tomorrow. So don’t you ever for a second get to thinking, you’re irreplaceable.
— Irreplacable
Say it real loud if you fly. If you leave me, you’re out of your mind.
— Countdown
I see it, I want it. I stunt, yellow bone it. I dream it. I work hard. I grind til I own it.
— Formation
The time has come for my dreams to be heard. They will not be pushed aside and turned, into your own. All cause you won’t listen.
— Listen
We’re smart enough to make these millions. Strong enough to bear the children. Then get back to business.
— Girls
I woke up like this. I woke up this. We flawless. Ladies, tell em.
— Flawless
I took some time to live my life. That don’t mean I’m just his little wife. Don’t get it twisted.
— Flawless
You don’t deserve my tears. I guess that’s why they ain’t there.
— Best Thing I Never Had
Middle fingers up. Put your hands high. Wave it in his face. Tell him boy, bye.
— Sorry
When you play me, you play yourself. Don’t play yourself.
— Don't Hurt Yourself
Patiently waiting for my demise, cause my success can’t be quantified.
— Nice
